Magic Wind Flutes has added a new example of a custom-made Native American drone flute to its website. Drone flutes are two (or more) flutes built together. Their beautiful tone derives from the fact the drone chamber plays a fixed note that the other flute can play against in harmony. The drone can also resonate with the melody played on its companion flute, causing it to change octaves. The new Native American drone flute posted at Magic Wind Flutes is made of sassafras and tulip.
